BWL Bonus Episode - Laying drums with midi samples...and much more!

Well, it's been far too long in between posts.  I think people were beginning to wonder about me!  I'm glad to be back now into my regular routine as a worship pastor.  Since yesterday was Monday it was my day off.  After dropping my daughter off at school I spent the next few hours putting together a new "bonus" podcast - I suppose in some effort to make up for missing that last couple weeks of podcasting.  While I was looking around at some of the older podcasts that I had recorded I found a few sessions that I had recorded with Joey Neiman and Steve Lacey of School of Fish Productions.  Back in September we recorded some discussions on the topic of layering live recorded drums with sampled drums by recording midi data along with audio.  We actually did a couple experiments and we played the samples during the podcast.

I'm already working on the next podcast and I'm really excited about it.  My friend Greg Martin is really knowledgeable on the topic of EQ and compression and is willing to share some of the knowledge with us.  We are planning on recording a podcast on Thursday evening for publishing on Friday morning.  Until then...
